The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) formally approved the merger between Yageo Corporation and KEMET on April 23, Eastern Time, making this merger a major step forward.

This transaction is subject to the merger approval from the competent authority by both parties, and after all preparations are completed, the acquisition is expected to be completed in advance in the third quarter of 2020.
