Global Microelectronics Engineering Company MELEXIS announced today that the launch of the new intelligent shunting device current sensor MLX91231, which expands the range of automotive current sensors by increasing diversion resistance solutions.MLX91231 is a high -precision IVT (current, voltage and temperature) device, and has the intelligence and flexibility of the digital micro controller unit (MCU), which can fully meet functional security requirements.MLX91231 is tailor -made for DC/DC converters, battery terminal sensors, low -voltage and high -voltage power distribution, and disconnecting equipment.

The precise measurement of low -voltage electronic equipment in the car has always been a key factor in maintaining the performance and safety of the automotive system.

With the continuous improvement of vehicles, more and more cars have increased the functions of senior driver assistance systems, and the normal operation of these functions depends on low voltage. Therefore, the industry's demand for high -performance, safe and reliable current and voltage sensors has also increased.

The MLX91231 can provide excellent accuracy, and the amount of drifting amplitude of the sensitivity drift in its temperature and service life range is less than ± 0.25%.This device can achieve more accurate monitoring and better optimize the low -voltage system, such as DC/DC converters, battery terminal sensors (BTS), and power distribution and monitoring in regional infrastructure.MLX91231 also shows excellent output stability and electromagnetic compatibility, which is an ideal deployment option in the harsh car environment.

As a IVT sensor that integrates MCU, MLX91231 can not only measure current, but also provide other advanced functions. The IVT sensor can be powered by 5V voltage battery or power supply directly by 12V batteries, and provides current, voltage and temperature readings through optional Lin or UART output. The MCU provides an important feature, that is, its built-in overcurrent detection (OCD), which can trigger Pyro-Fuse safely and simply without developing a complex security mechanism.MLX91231 meets the requirements of ISO 26262 ASIL B (D) and supports ASIL D -level system integration.

The custom software design of MLX91231 is consistent with the existing and future Melexis solutions.Melexis provides a wide range of platform solutions for users and supports software reuse. It also provides special solutions to simplify development time and reduce costs. In addition, MLX91231 uses a compact 8 -pin SOIC packaging to simplify the process of system integration.

"The new MLX91231 downsor current sensor further improves our product portfolio based on the Hall effect. By combining a variety of sensor technology, we clearly expressed their promises to provide support for all DC current and power sensing applications." Melexis The product line manager Bruno Boury said, "By integrating the security system into the product, we simplified the work of engineers in terms of safety compliance."
