Qseven computer-on-module is scalable

Advantech Embedded World

The company collaborated with NXP to develop the Qseven module which is powered by the i.MX 8 QuadMax processor, a multi-core SoC based on Arm’s Cortex-A72 and Cortex-A53 processors and the Cortex-M4 big.LITTLE structure.

There is also a dual-core GC7000 GPU which delivers high-quality 3D graphics and 4K decoder. Other features are onboard QSPI flash (256Mbyte) and eMMC flash (8Gbyte) and 3x USB 3.0 ports.

The module supports both Yocto Linux and Android OS. Built in WISE-PaaS/Edgesense supports remote monitoring and management (RMM) and over the air (OTA) features, for IoT and industrial IoT applications management.

The company says it will continue to cooperate with its Embedded Linux and Android Alliance (ELAA) partners to provide ROM-7720 software, including featured OS as well as security and image recognition technologies.

The module will be launched in 2018/Q4. Visitors to NXP (Hall 4A-220) and Advantech (Hall 2-138) can see a live demonstration.
