Texas Instruments' TAS5805M high-efficiency, stereo, closed-loop, Class-D amplifier is a cost-effective, digital-input solution with low power dissipation and sound enrichment. This device features an integrated audio processor and 96 kHz architecture that support advanced audio process flow, including sample rate conversion (SRC), 15 BQs per channel, volume control, audio mixing, 3-band 4th order dynamic range compression (DRC), full-band above ground level (AGL), total harmonic distortion (THD) manager, and a level meter.
The TAS5805M features TI’s proprietary hybrid modulation scheme that consumes ultra-low quiescent current of 16.5 mA at 13.5 V PVDD which extends battery life in portable audio applications. Designers leverage inexpensive ferrite bead filters to reduce board space and system cost with advanced electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression technology.
